Students in Room 10 worked hard to research their chosen Arctic Animal.
They then had the opportunity to collaborate with their group and present their animal to the class. Each group decided to present their information in a poster format. Here are the brief video clips of their presentations- super cute!

This week in Room 10 we have spent time discussing peace. What does it look like, sound like, feel like... We talked about the importance of Remembrance Day and learned the song below (a thanks to Mme McLaren for sharing this video!) about giving thanks to the brave soldiers in the wars. Students can share and explain their understanding with their families.
Here is what our students had to say about peace:
Peace is long car rides. (Xander)
Peace is quiet. (Fyo)
Peace is relaxing. (Edric)
Peace is nice music. (Kira)
Peace is calm. (Levi, Philip, Dahlia and Wilder)
Peace is reading. (Summer)
Peace is playing with friends. (Olivia)
Peace is love. (Chloe)
Peace is happiness. (Eva)
Peace is lying in bed. (Nolan)
Peace is all over the place. (Ashton, Cooper)
Peace is exploring. (Dahlia)
Peace is playing hockey. (Will)
Peace is good. (Anya)
Thank you to the brave solidiers who made it possible, and continue to make it possible, for us to enjoy peace in our country and in our everyday lives.
The beginning of the school year has just flown by and we have been enjoying the beautiful Fall weather. Our class was able to experience and observe the signs of Fall through several outdoor learning experiences. We are learning and practicing Fall French vocabulary and sentence structures through songs, poems, games and crafts. Check out the video of our class singing the song, C'est l'autonme!
Students can practice and share with you the Fall French vocabulary they have learned at home with the following video link:Vocabulaire d'automne
Our class is also having fun learning all about spiders! This inquiry has involved reading about spiders, watching educational videos, engaging in "spider" math problems, arts and crafts, and writing about what we learned.
Halloween is around the corner and we are exploring related vocabulary to this fun day. Students will be bringing home a book to read and share the vocabulary they know.
Stay tuned into our instagram account for fun pictures of this day.
